Port Camargue was the first marina to take part in the Clean Ports operation in the Languedoc Roussillon.
From 1999, targeted actions against pollution (toxic, domestic and accidental, liquids and solids) have been carried out on a pilot scale:
Creation of a complete Waste Treatment Unit used for reception, sorting and elimination of solid waste related to boat maintenance.
Installation of quayside pumps for collection of used engine oil, bilge water and waste water.
Diagnostic of liquid pollution prior to installation of new treatment units in the service areas in 2004.
In parallel to these facilities, the Committee's personnel lead regular actions aimed at informing marina users and heightening awareness for protection of the marine and port environment.
Our objective is to keep our Blue Pennant and achieve certification under the 14001 standard relative to the environmental management policy and system applied to the port.
